Caleb Gets Mail

My newphew, Drake, decided he wanted Caleb to have ALL of his matchbox cars. To save my sister a load of money I suggested they send a few in the mail at a time for a fun suprise for Caleb. Here's what he got today!

What Can't you do

In an attempt to get more "bloggerish" -is that even a word? I want to start doing some more conversational posts.

Lets Start here:
What's something "normal" that you can't do?

For instance I CAN NOT make a lowercase K

I can not use an electric can opener

I have a hard time using the remote (or almost anything with my left hand)

Now your turn.....

McQueens Road Trip

Jeremy is in CO this week for YFC camp and Caleb and I stayed behind. BUT we sent Lightening McQueen with Jeremy to document the trip for us.

So far he made a pit stop at Wendys for a Dr. Pepper

Then he arrived in beautiful Colorado Springs. What a view

Hanging out at camp on a tree

Lightning, meet hail. Hail, meet Lightning

Today we had a room inspection with prizes for cleanest room. So Lightning left the room inspector a little present.

Today Lightning visited Pike's Peak! Here's a shot

Lightening hung with us at "The Rock" for small group cabin time today

The day finally came when McQueen brought Daddy (Jeremy) home to us!!!

Fun Caleb Moments

Its been a bit since I've blogged and we've been having so much fun I thought I'd share some videos with you.

The first one is of Caleb's new pool. Dont worry he is fine, the fall didnt hurt and I wasnt too far to catch him. We did learn that water shoes are a must in this pool.

Second I asked Caleb to please put his wipes away after a diaper change today, he obliged but in an interesting way :)

Still birthdaying...

Here is a video for my sister of Caleb opening her gifts

Caleb's Second B-day

We decided we wanted to moved Caleb out of his crib and into a "big boy bed" and decided the best way to do that was to get him new bedding that he would LOVE to sleep in. So I found a great Lightening McQueen bedding set. While Caleb was eating breakfast Jeremy quickly made the switch from the crib to the toddler bed. Caleb was pleasantly surprised to come back from eating breakfast to find a new bed for himself.

We were very lucky to have 4 sets of grandparents and one aunt all go in together to get a very awesome playhouse for the back yard.

Spring Sno

We had a HUGE spring snow storm and we decided to get Caleb dressed up and go out and play in it...he seemed to have a blast compared to when we took him out last year in MI.

Spring Break for a toddler?

Today was a great day to be on spring break...which for us only means the things we normally do are over run by school aged kids. So we went to a small out of the way park with another 1 year old friend. Then after nap we decided to chillax in the back yard poolside!

My Birthday Suprise

Jeremy blogged about my Birthday suprise so I am going to link you too it http://www.jeremystuff.com/

THIS WAS THE BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER!!! I really did enjoy my massage but even more I enjoyed the thought that went into the mystery trip of it! I left the house not knowing where I was going and Jeremy gave me pre-recorded driving instructions loaded on my iPod. How fun and nerdy of him all at the same time. Isnt he the BEST!

Then, tonight we have plans to take Caleb to a friends house to share a sitter and go to dinner to Red Robin with our friends! And I get a FREE burger while I am there!!!

You tell me...

Most people over and over say how much Caleb looks like Jeremy, which I have NO problem with. However I have been noticing more and more how much he looks like my nephew. You judge for yourself....

Don't juded a picture until you know.....

When asked to draw a picture of what they wanted to be when they grew up, second-grader "Sarah" turned in the lovely drawing shown below. Needless to say, the teacher was a bit surprised -- Mrs. Smith had always seemed like such a conservative woman. So she sent a note home to the girl's mother asking for clarification as to the picture's meaning.

Scroll down to see the mothers reply

(Here's the reply the teacher received the following day)

Dear Mrs. Jones,
I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer. I work at Home Depot and I told my daughter how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her we sold out every single shovel we had, and then I found one more in the back room, and that several people were fighting over who would get it. Her picture doesn't show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot. From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in.
Sincerely, Mrs. Smith
